A bit of History

Zen Republik was built on a long-standing passion for hospitality and customer service, evolving over time into a dedicated vacation rental management company focused on quality, care, and memorable guest experiences.  What began as a small vacation rental operation in Canada grew steadily through a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.  This foundation shaped the service philosophy that continues to define Zen Republik today.

Years of travel and hosting eventually led to the discovery of Las Terrenas, in the Samaná region of the Dominican Republic — a vibrant Caribbean beach town known for its natural beauty, relaxed lifestyle, and international appeal.  This destination marked a turning point and became the natural home for the company’s next chapter.

David and Megan, both coming from strong customer service and operations backgrounds, spent time in Las Terrenas, immersing themselves in the local culture and lifestyle. Inspired by the destination and the opportunity to build something long-term and locally grounded, they made the decision to relocate permanently and take full leadership of ZenRepublik.

David and Megan oversee all day-to-day operations on the ground in Las Terrenas. Their hands-on leadership ensures consistent quality, rapid responsiveness, and personalized attention for both guests and property owners.
